Warranty for Custom Furntiure

Warranty Information for BST Designs LLC, DBA Hardwood Lumber Shop

All wood products are sold "As Is." Hardwood Lumber Shop provides no guarantee or warranty, express or implied, regarding the presence of wood-destroying organisms (including but not limited to termites, powderpost beetles, or fungi). It is the Buyer’s sole responsibility to inspect, and if necessary, treat all wood products upon delivery. Hardwood Lumber Shop shall not be liable for any damage or remediation costs resulting from infestations.

Third-Party Products
All third-party products are sold without any warranty from Hardwood Lumber Shop. Any claims regarding product defects, performance, or technical support are provided solely by the original manufacturer.

Hardwood Lumber Shop is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from the use or misuse of third-party products. Users must follow all manufacturer safety guidelines.

Results from finishing products may vary based on wood species and application; please test a small area before use.

By completing any purchase with Hardwood Lumber Shop, the Buyer acknowledges these risks and agrees that Hardwood Lumber Shop’s liability is limited to the replacement or refund of the specific item purchased.

Custom Fabrication Limitation of Liability

  • Our products are warrantied against significant glue joint separation and warping.

  • Hardwood Lumber Shop reserves the right to reject any claim.

  • Finished wood components must be installed within one week of leaving Hardwood Lumber Shop. Products installed in any outdoor or commercial application are not included in this warranty.

  • Wood products sold as unfinished are not eligible for warranty coverage beyond the glue joints. (See above.)

  • Hardwood Lumber Shop  does not warranty third-party products or services.

  • Minor conditions such as stains, checking, shallow warping, and water spots are a function of normal use and proper care and maintenance. Deviation from the techniques of the Care & Maintenance Guide will void this warranty.

  • This warranty does not cover improper use or abuse including, but is not limited to damage from mishandling; damage from excessive heat, steam, or moisture; wood movement or warping; exposure to weather conditions; physical or chemical abuse and damage from improper care and maintenance; scratches, dings or any chemical damage; any failures due to inadequate support for the installation; the altering of any finish applied by Hardwood Lumber Shop; staining; products that have not been paid in full.

  • This warranty does not cover product installed with known or visible manufacturing defects at time of installation, including but not limited to color variance or flatness deviation beyond reasonable expectations.

  • Defective product must be returned to Hardwood Lumber Shop for repair or replacement at our discretion. S&H and/or removal/installation fees resulting from warranty issues are the responsibility of the product owner.

  • Any replacement product must be shipped to the original destination.

  • Any replacement product will made to the original, approved order specs. Design changes such as, but not limited to, shape, construction style, edge profile, finish etc. will not be accepted.

  • Hardwood Lumber Shop is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from the use or misuse of fabricated piece(s).
